URGO burns, superficial wounds, sterile dressing is intended for the treatment of first-degree and superficial second-degree burns and superficial wounds (abrasions, cuts).

How should you use this product?
In the case of a superficial second-degree burn: hold the wound under cold water for 15 minutes beforehand to limit the extent of the burn.
In all cases:
1. Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic, then rinse with water or saline solution.
2. In the case of a burn, never use coloured antiseptics such as eosin.
3. Dry thoroughly with a sterile dressing.
4. Where possible, leave the blister intact: it acts as a barrier against infection. If it bursts, disinfect it. There is no need to remove dead skin if it does not detach on its own.
5. Remove the protective tabs and apply to the area to be treated.
6. If necessary, cut the tulle dressing to the required size using clean, disinfected scissors, then cover with a secondary dressing such as a sterile pad secured with a stretch bandage or tape.
7. There is no need to apply a cream beforehand.
8. The usual treatment duration is 5 to 6 days, with the first dressing change after 24 hours and then every 48 hours.

What are the contraindications for URGO burns and superficial wounds, sterile tulle dressing?
Do not use for deep second-degree burns, third-degree burns, or burns on the face - prior medical consultation is mandatory in these cases.
What precautions should be taken when using this product?
For use on localized wounds, no larger than a dressing. For extensive burns, the dressing should overlap the wound generously to allow exudate absorption. If you see no improvement in healing after 6 days, consult your doctor. For any burn in a child, seek advice from your pharmacist or doctor. If there are clinical signs of local infection (redness spreading to undamaged skin, pain, etc.), foreign bodies in the wound, significant bleeding, a bite, or a puncture from a sharp and/or contaminated object, consult your pharmacist or doctor. URGO burn and superficial wound tulle dressing should be used immediately after opening - store away from light. Paraffin can be absorbed by dressings, clothing and/or bedding and ignite very quickly. Anyone using or applying a paraffin-containing dermatological medical device should keep away from fire until the skin and/or clothing and bedding that has been in contact with it has been thoroughly cleaned.
