What is nail fungus?
Nail fungus or onychomycosis is a common problem that is caused by an infection with a microscopic fungus. It mainly develops in the toenails. Fungal nails may be bleached or yellowed, brittle and have rough edges
URGO Filmogel® 2-in-1 antifungal treatment masks and treats nails affected with fungal infection. The treatment improves nail appearance and is easy to use. Ideal for beautiful nails with immediate camouflage of the infection.
URGO Filmogel® 2-in-1 antifungal treatment forms a coloured film that conceals and treats nail fungal infection with nude or red coverage - the URGO solution for covering nail fungus and improving the appearance of your nails.
Start using it at the first signs of nail fungal infection.
Treatment phase:
1. Apply the polish every 72 hours for 4 weeks.
2. Before each use, shake the bottle to mix the product and ensure a homogeneous consistency.
3. Apply 1 or 2 coats to achieve the desired coverage. Ensure the solution covers the entire nail surface and the exposed nail bed. If the coat detaches before the next application, apply a new coat. Before each new coat, remove the existing one by rubbing with warm water or nail polish remover.
4. Before first use, remove all traces of existing nail polish.
5. Leave to dry before putting on socks, shoes or gloves. The product dries in 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the thickness of the coat applied. The second coat may take slightly longer to dry.
6. Each week, file the entire nail with a new file to optimize the treatment. Discard the file to avoid recontamination.
Maintenance phase:
After the treatment phase, continue applying URGO Filmogel 2-in-1 antifungal treatment twice a week until the nail has grown back fully.
URGO Filmogel 2-in-1 Red antifungal treatment can be applied to a healthy nail

This fungal treatment is water-based, unlike most nail polishes which are solvent-based.
As a result, it can be slightly harder to remove and may require more effort than usual.
A useful tip is to soak the nails in warm water for 5 minutes, then use an acetone-free nail polish remover (ethyl acetate or ethyl succinate based) to remove it.
It may also be easier to remove using an acetone-free nail polish remover after taking a hot shower.
No known interactions exist with other fungal nail treatments or any other medications when used as directed. However, consult your pharmacist or GP before combining URGO Filmogel® 2-in-1 antifungal treatment with other treatments.
