How should you use this product?
In the case of a burn: place the burn immediately under cold (but not icy) water and hold it there for 15 minutes to limit the extent of the burn. Do not pierce any blister that forms.
In all cases:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Clean the wound with water or saline solution. Disinfect the wound and surrounding skin with an alcohol-free antiseptic solution; In the case of a burn, never use coloured antiseptics such as eosin. Rinse with water or saline solution.
2. Using a sterile dressing, dry the wound and surrounding skin thoroughly. Stop any bleeding by applying compression.
3. Open the pouch and remove the dressing. Use the dressing immediately after opening the pouch.
4. When applying the dressing, take care not to touch the adhesive part with your fingers. Centre the dressing (white part) over the wound:
– Remove the first protective tab; apply while smoothing the dressing towards the edges to avoid creating folds or tension on the skin or dressing.
– Remove the second tab in the same way.
Change frequency:
Repeat the application, following these instructions, after 24 hours and then every 48 hours until healed. Also replace the dressing:
– If the dressing appears damp after showering
– If the dressing is saturated with blood or exudate
Dressing removal:
Remove the dressing carefully.
If gel remains on the wound after removal, rinse with water.
